ADAPTATION OF FLATS FOR PERSONS THAT USE WHEELCHAIRS

The Andjela Foundation will invest donations in the adaptation of flats where people in wheelchairs live. This adaptation implies an increase in functionality and thus easier stay of the disabled, which will be implemented through the following:

• Removal of obstacles (thresholds, expansion of carpentry, access to the terrace - if any)
• Accessibility to devices and appliances important for the disabled
• If feasible, adaptation of a complete bathroom for the needs of the disabled

Architects, construction operatives, carpentry manufacturers will be engaged in the adaptation.

If adaptation is not possible or if there are positive circumstances, the Foundation will organize a group of people interested in building a building (housing unit) that will be accessible to this population. The construction of the said building will be realized on the basis of market conditions of sale, ie purchase of real estate and the Foundation will not participate in that sense with its funds.

At the moment, the most suitable area for building a residential unit is the area of Zemun, Borča and Jakov due to its flat land character as well as due to the possibility of a green area that belongs to the built facility.

The opportunity to buy real estate in a housing unit will be provided to other persons with disabilities (their families).

SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYMENT OF PARENTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWD)

Why do we consider it necessary, wherever possible and if there is a parents desire to get a job:

1. Accomplish of employment rights (salary, length of service, health insurance, transportation)
2. Earning income
3. PWD , in addition to compensation for someone else's care and assistance, it can also receive inflows from the family pension
4. Social and professional realization of the person
5. The right to work, defined by the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

This employment support will be implemented in cooperation with interested legal entities and the Foundation.

SUPPORT FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF SMALL COMPANIES FOR THE PARENTS OF THE PWDs

To achieve this goal, the Foundation will form small companies through its activities and donations. It will function under market conditions and thus enable its sustainability.

In this way, parents will be able to accomplish their right to work.

The Foundation is obliged to keep the obtained data which it can present only for the purpose of employment. Also, the Foundation is obliged to inform you about employment opportunities and efforts. We can only enable the employer to accept working hours shorter than the prescribed 8 hours a day and to have the opportunity to apply for a job. All elements of the employment contract are negotiated by the parent with the employer and he is obliged to respect the same as other employees in the given legal entity.
